SERVICE QUESTIONS
The following material answers questions regarding; Package information, refund policies, details about your Virtual Room, etc.
- Q: What do the terms; Virtual Room, 4 Point Room Breakdown, Feedback, and Insider Secrets mean?
- A: See the Home Page of this website under the subheading, “What You Receive”.
- Q: Do I receive a separate Virtual Room, 4 Point Room Breakdown, Feedback (consultation), and Insider Shopping Secrets with every room I purchase?
- A: Yes. Each room in your home you purchase (Master Bedroom, Living Room, Dining room, etc.) and would like advice on, comes with these 4 items individually. Though the Insider Shopping Secrets/tips is simply resource material and remains the same for all.
- Q: How come pieces of furniture were not added to the room?
- A: Remember, our focus is on redesign. Redesign indicates using only your existing pieces of furniture and adding only accessories, possibly altering wall color, furniture placement and creating a true cohesive theme within a given room.
- Q: Why do certain pieces of furniture look different in my Virtual Room than my actual furniture?
- A: Its true that certain pieces of your furniture may not be able to be duplicated exactly. Our design software has catalogues of furniture and accessories, but it does have limitations with regard to its ability to reproduce the form of less common pieces (i.e. varying styles of; couches, headboards, dressers, etc.)
- Q: Why does the actual room itself look different than as shown in my Virtual Room?
- A: Same reason as the above question. Certain things such as Beamed Vaulted Ceilings, unusual fireplaces or stained glass windows for example, may be beyond our design software’s capabilities to reproduce them.
- Q: Am I supposed to duplicate the framed artwork depicted in my Virtual Room?
- A: No, the framed artwork on the walls are simply generic stock photos and is meant to show only artwork configuration. Art is subject to personal taste. But the frames, matting and placement of the artwork can be duplicated.
- Q: What is the 4 Point Room Breakdown meant to do?
- A: This portion you receive with each room that you order addresses, in written form, further analysis of your room focusing on Spacing, Color, Accessories, and Function.
These 4 areas are meant to communicate additional suggestions you can do to your room beyond what is covered by viewing your Virtual Room. This may include advice on further color choices, making your room more cohesive in its theme. As well as recommendations on possible buys for your home to add warmth and make the room more multi-functional.
- Q: What are “Additional Feedbacks”?
- A: One personal Feedback is included within the package of each room. This involves a personal e-mail consultation with our design team to follow up regarding any questions or further input pertaining to your room. “Additional Feedbacks” are at a charge of $25.00 and entail any added consultation over and above the one included within your package.
- Q: What are “Additional Changes” to my Virtual Room?
- A: Once your Virtual Room is completed, you may decide you would like certain alterations to be made to the computer generated photographs. Such changes or alterations to your Virtual Room are at a charge of $45.00.
- Q: Do you offer a Refund or “Money Back Guarantee” if I’m not satisfied?
- A: Because decorating styles are subject to personal taste and are simply suggested concepts, no, we cannot offer your money back should you be dissatisfied with the end result.
Our team is however working with your personal furniture, so your overall “style” is unlikely to be changed drastically. However, the warmth, comfort level, and cohesive theme of the room is likely to change.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
The following material answers questions regarding; Login issues, download problems, viewing jpegs (photo files), etc.
- Q: On the Purchase page, what is the “Card Verification Number” it asks for?
- A: For most credit cards this indicates entering the last 3 numbers on the back of your credit card.
On an American Express card this indicates 4 numbers on the upper right hand corner on the front of your card.
- Q: How will I receive my login information?
- A: After you complete the purchase page with your credit card and other personal information, this login information will be automatically e-mailed to you.
- Q: Where do I login?
- A: The Home Page. “Login” appears at the upper right hand portion of the screen.
- Q: My login number isn’t working.
- A: Simply click on the Customer Login section on the Home Page. Type in your e-mail address you used to place your order and the login number will be automatically e-mailed to you. Or click on “Contact Us” if you still experience problems.
- Q: From what angle should I take the pictures of my room?
- A: Turn on all the lights in you room and the flash on your camera. Stand back as far as you can from the wall you are taking the shot of. Generally it is best to stand in a corner at the opposite side of the room so the entire wall can be captured within the photo.
- Q: How do I Upload the photos of my room?
- A: After logging in you will come to the “Welcome” page. Click on the room you purchased advice for. (example: Living room). You will then be taken to the “Select Living Room files to Upload” page.
You will be given 4 files for each room you purchased, that’s one file per photograph of each wall of your chosen room.
Next, click the “Browse” button beside “File 1”. Go to “My Pictures” (or your chosen photo file on your computer) and select the first photo of your room to be uploaded. Once you click on the photo itself, the .jpg (picture file) will appear in a box below marked “File”. Click “Open” beside this file name.
This file will appear in “File 1” showing that you uploaded the picture correctly. Repeat on files 2-4.
Once you have Browsed and selected your 4 photographs, click on “Upload Now!”. Allow several minutes for the pictures to be uploaded.
- Q: How will I know if I uploaded my photos correctly?
- A: Files 1-4 will say, “Upload successful” just above the Browse and upload section.
- Q: How will I know when my project is finished?
- A: You will receive an e-mail that says “Room Suggestions”. This indicates your project is complete. Your project could take between 2-7 business days.
- Q: What about receiving my Feedback?
- A: Simply login to your account and ask a question. This question may be asked After your project is complete. So that any additional questions regarding what you’ve received may be answered.
Once our Design Experts reply to your inquiry, you will receive an e-mail that says, “Feedback Request”. This indicates your question has been answered.
- Q: How do I get my Insider Shopping Secrets?
- A: This will be e-mailed to you under the subject “Insider Shopping Secrets”. You will only receive one of these regardless of how many rooms you order. This is simply helpful resource material that does not vary depending on your room.
